Kate trained at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and worked as a professional actress for over 12 years in theatre and TV, where her many roles included Stephen Daldry’s production of ‘The Kitchen’ at London’s Royal Court, and title roles in National UK tours of She Stoops to Conquer, Whose Afraid of Virginia Wolf, Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, and many other classical and musical roles.

TV includes lead recurring characters in The Bill, Wycliffe, Playing the Field (ITV) and Common as Muck(BBC), amongst others.

Kate more recently appeared in the new British Horror Film ‘In Abigails Place’ for 304050 productions, to be shown in cinemas Feb 2015.

Kate was the Artistic Director and founder of award winning company (London Business of the Year 2002/3) ‘Dramarama’ and she also co produced the nationwide Shakespeare Schools Festival from 2000 - 2005, working with over 400 schools and 100 theatres.

Kate was appointed Principal of LIPA 4:19 in 2009 and is so proud of all the academy and students have achieved in the past 5 years. Kate also works at the Heath School in Teaching School Development and for Trinity Guildhall London as an Arts Award Moderator.

In March 2014 Kate was awarded the role of SLICE (Specialist Leader in Cultural Education) with Arts Council England North West.
